What we collect
When you sign up for Arive we ask for an email address or phone number so we can deliver one-time login codes. If you choose to complete your profile we additionally store the name you provide and an optional profile photo. We never ask for, store, or transmit your full payment card number.
Loyalty & transaction data
When a participating restaurant scans your member QR code, we record the bill total, the points earned or redeemed, and the timestamp. This data is needed to keep your loyalty balance accurate across the network and to compute restaurant settlements. We do not receive itemised order details.
Location
The Discover tab requests location permission to show nearby restaurants. Your coarse location is sent to the API only while you are actively using the feature; we do not log or persist it. Declining location permission is fully supported — you can still search by city or browse trending.
Analytics
We collect anonymous, aggregate usage metrics (screen views, crashes, performance counters) so we can improve the product. These metrics are not joined with your account identity.
Sharing
We share only what is strictly required:
- Brevo — for sending login codes via email and SMS
- Cloudflare — for hosting and content delivery
- Neon — for the application database
- Stripe — for restaurant billing (no consumer data sent)
We do not sell personal information to third parties, ever.
Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. After you delete your account, identifiers and profile data are removed within 30 days. Loyalty transaction records are anonymised and retained for 7 years to satisfy accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can export, correct, or delete your data at any time from Profile → Account actions. For requests that cannot be completed in-app, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Arive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has signed up, email [email protected] and we will remove the account.
Changes
We may revise this policy as the product evolves. Material changes are announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
